Delivery & Returns

How dispatch, returns, and refunds work.

Last updated 23-07-2026

Should you have any issues with your game mat, you can email me (Joe) at [email protected] for a solution, and I can tell you how to return it if need be (or if that's your preference).

In the spirit of not inflicting any more “Sorry, not our problem” treatment upon the world, I try to be extra generous when it comes to returns with our game mats. No hard deadlines or technicalities to excuse me from responsibility. If you've a fair case for something wrong with it, I'm going to rectify it. Most gamers I've known won't take advantage of that! See more details below in the Returns section.

Delivery

Orders are dispatched from the UK, typically within a few business days. However, this is me manually arranging dispatch, so if I'm slow it's because I'm a Jack of all Trades. If you want fastest, go to one of the corporate machines (Amazon, etc) who are selling our mats.

Standard Statutory Return Law

Per the UK's Consumer Contracts Regulations, which is the standard statutory return law for online purchases, if you request a return within 14 days of receiving your item, you're guaranteed a refund — no reason needs to be given. Once you've let me know, send the item back within 14 days; once I receive it, I'll process your refund within 14 days (it may take a little longer to appear on your statement).

Ergon Games Return Philosophy

Wanting to return something later than that? Get in touch anyway — I'll consider any reasonable case. As I suggested above, I don't want anyone to have one of our mats who isn't at the same time absolutely buzzing (an “Englishism”) to have it. So let me know about your case and if you've a fair case, I'll resolve things! Yes, I'll take some losses on this. But so long as the people are like the gamers we've had so far, we'll survive. And keep a stellar reputation!

Faulty or damaged items

This is separate from the standard returns window above. If a mat arrives faulty or not as described, you have additional rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including a right to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on how long you've had it). Contact me and I'll sort it out.

Shipping costs for returns

If you've a fair case for your return, then I'll take the loss on return shipping costs. Please consult me on how to return.
